Gustav Klimt was born in 1862 in Baumgartner, a place near Vienna city. He was the second son in a family that had six children in total. His father – Ernst Klimt - was a goldsmith. Until the end of his life, Klimt had created many famous paintings with high artistic value. It was a pity that some of his paintings were destroyed during wars, or as a result of political and religious divergence. He passed away in 1918 leaving many
